Bergen Irish Society would like to thank the 38 individuals who made the effort to come out and celebrate the annual Christmas dinner at Scandic Bergen City. What an evening! What a great atmosphere and what fabulous food Scandic City had to offer. The turkey and ham was laid out in buffet style with all having the opportunity to take seconds or even thirds if they wished. Nobody can say that they didn’t get enough! Dinner was followed by a selection of tasty desserts.
During the course of the dinner Eileen Bergesen, gave a speech and thanked all who helped out to make this event a successful one. A special thanks goes to Paudy Kenny and Monica Myklebust!
Congratulations to Christine Martin and Monica Myklebust on winning the irish goodie hampers, Patricia Vik on winning a box of roses and Terje Bergesen winning a bottle of wine.
A raffle raised a total of 1,960 kroner. Thanks to all who contributed to this.
After dinner, a good majority went to the Huset Pub for Irish Coffees and mince pies (kindly made by Marianne Barron).
Ireland never felt so close as it did last night…thank you EVERYONE!
